Fake Christians

Religion can be beautiful, especially when it is incorporated into a person's life as a moral code of living. However, it is wrong to use religion as a a tool to segregate and place oneself above anybody else. I can not think of any better example of this than Christianity. My anger towards the people who have misused this religion and abused its name is very apparent every time I visit a congregation. How can you people teach about the love of Christ, and then turn around and inflict prejudice and piercing hatred against homosexuals? I know that the Bible teaches against it, but doesn't the Bible encourage hatred of the action? Not the person. God loves everybody and Jesus not only taught but walked among the sinners of the world. He did not ignore or hate them.

Sometimes, I wish Christians would get off of their high horses sometimes and open up their hearts and their minds. The fact that modern day Christians are so narrow minded literally pisses me off beyond any measure. And for those who judge others for having a different faith, you can get off of your high horse too because you're no better than anybody else. Just because you have "Christian" tagged on your shirt as your belief doesn't give you an automatic ticket for respect. I have way  more respect for those who actually follow the moral code of the Bible and don't show hatred but actually practice love.

And another thing, for those who consider themselves super holy. STOP HIDING BEHIND THE BIBLE! I can't stand that ish. Confront an issue for what it is and tackle it! Yes, refer to the Bible as the forefront of the battle, but don't leave it at that. Understand that there are 21st century issues that are going on that need to be talked about in the church! Enough with the damn Bible stories (excuse my French) Stop sweeping it under the rug by simply saying, "The Bible says that it's wrong" and then leaving it alone. Talk about it. Talk about teenage pregnancy, sex, pornography addictions, divorce, and everything else. I am so tired of reading scriptures that are over 2,000 years old but most people are afraid to apply it to today's issues. Enough with quoting scriptures and leaving problems there to fester. It also takes action!!!

There, I've vented.
